So... I've been outta film school for over a week now... and well.. yes. I'm depressed...

after being sooo used to either being in school, or working full time (over 5 years) it's really hard to have nothing to do with yourself.

Oh other then the tortureous neccessities of searching for ANY kind of paid gig within this blasted industry and tryin to find either a new roommate or apartment.... its one negative spiral into sadness after another...

but hey... great news...

we finally posted the star wars fan film we did online.... sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Well, anybody who updates their journal once every four to six months must SURELY have something incredably inciteful and wonderous to say no?


no.

Actually a few updates could be made... anybody who watched the CTV NATIONAL REPORT last week woulda seen a bit they did on the 'star wars 30th' celebration, and how 'film school students are keeping the faith alive'... peter would be saying over the appearnce of a dark theater full of kids who juss happen to be watching a film with nostaligic like crawling credits and conveniently enough, two lightsabers... well those nostalgic credits would be the credits I created for a short film called 'The Last Planet'. a Film I also had the pleasure of being the Director of Photography on... and those lightsabers happened to be the property of my roommate... so... kinda uniquley cool to the 30 or so film students whom were actually in that theater.

hrm.. oh also, we particpated in a school run 48hr film festival where, sure as shit be brown, and star wars nerds be us, we made a star wras fan film in the span of 48rhs... I wrote and edited the piece... and we're just working on retweaking some of the audio mix for a 'world wide' release via the wonderful youtube and myspace web media whore machines... keep ya ears pealed for when I will no doubt beg all of you to watch it to get me some exposure....


less then 20 days away from graduating film school.... yowza!!!

Hello there fearless readers....

I am putting out an open reqest to all devs out there who want to submit some original Comic book style artwork for my film.

About the project?
well.. It's entitled 'Chasing Unicorns' - one mans quest to go from zero to hero.

Reily is a demure comic book artist who works in the local mall. He spends his days trying to get his independent comic book published. Esmerelda, is the bohemian-chic palm reading gypsy that works in the booth near him. The object of Reily's desire, he's never been able to talk to her. When faced with artist block, deadlines, and a closing window to chase after his dreamgirl, what will Reily do?

now... the question is.. WHAT WILL YOU DO? :d

WILL you : make/donate original comic book style artwork of Wizards, warriors, monsters and Unicorns?

is often dull... sad to say yes kids... when one is exposed to on an averaged consumption of weekly denominations to the 'sights and sounds' of the glorious industry that is that of the film... one does begin to become desensitiezed... furthermore, when one is trying one's hardest to shoot an exercise in the studio's at one's school, and one's sound is continually and systematically destroyed by the film crew outside of said studio's windows... one begins to become exhasperated.... and then when one goes out for a smoke break and finds oneself sandwiched inbetween both Stuwart Townsend, and Andre Benjamin, with Ray Liota lurking in his trailer, and one can only find himself overcome with geekish glee at the sight of an arriflex SRII dressed to the nines with focus pulls, and onboard lcd video playback... one realizes that when one is more excited by the craft and construction of a medium, moreover then by the 'stars and starlets' of said medium.... one begins to realize.... One is now at home, and happy with the direction one's life is taking...
